Cafe Terrace at Night

Cafe Terrace at Night is an oil painting by Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh. It was painted in Arles, France in 1888. The painting is not signed, but is described and mentioned by the artist in three letters. In 1990 and 1991 the site of the painting was reconstructed to replicate van Gogh's painting. After completing the painting Café Terrace at Night, Van Gogh wrote a letter to his sister expressing his enthusiasm: "But I found it suited me to paint the thing at once."
